Big Boggle was released in 1979, and it is the big brother of the classic Boggle game.
Boggle and Big Boggle are made by Parker Brothers, a division of Hasbro. Boggle has you form words based upon letter-dice in a 4x4 square container. Big Boggle is the same thing, but it is in a 5x5.
What makes Big Boggle more mind boggling?
With the standard Boggle, you can "make" 3-letter words, or they can be longer. You just can't use 1 or 2-letter words.
With Big Boggle, you are not allowed to "make" any words that are shorter than 4 letters, which tends to be a lot harder. Test your vocabulary some time. Many people will be surprised at how many 3-letter words pop when they're playing, but they can't use them!
Big Boggle is fun, but it's a little frustrating, too.
